The Stupidfactor

For those of you outside of the DFW area we have had the stupidest incident of race-baiting  I have ever seen. A little bit of background on the incident:

Dallas County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.  Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections “has become a black hole” because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office. Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole”. That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy. Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term. A black hole, according to Webster’s, is perhaps “the invisible remains of a collapsed star, with an intense gravitational field from which neither light nor matter can escape.” Who did they think he offended by using the term “black hole, the color Black? This has gotten out of control with the news constantly covering it. Sometimes I wish the Lord would have made us all one skin tone, but being human we would still find a reason to bicker and argue.

After 7 months of being unemployed (thanks to Perot Systems. Hey Ross, remember the “Sucking sound” speech you gave? Perot Systems’s hypocrisy knows no bounds) I have found a job in a great company with a great bunch of guys. I feel sorry for anyone else that has been laid off. The economy isn’t doing too good so finding a good job, a job that you want to do and you look forward to going to each day is hard to find these days. Good luck to anyone else that has been impacted by the Bush economy. Hang in there and you’ll get that job you love to do.

As much as I have watched the news relating to the upcoming Presidential election and the on going War in Irag and Afghanistan I felt I needed to change up the site. For the past year the site was very static and was more of a personal journal than an blog.  I will be focusing on the Presidential race as well as the Iraq/Afghani War. I must be stupid because I thought the “mission was accomplished” as President Bush so proudly stated after that ridiculous landing on the aircraft carrier like a triumphant Caesar returning from battle victoriously.  Go here and see the names of the dead  since the mission was “accomplished”. The reason for this war was a lie and Bush will leave the office of President in an utter mess.  Way to go W!
